Getbeat League Owners,
The leaves will soon be falling and your Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays will once again be dominated by gladiators. The 2024-2025 Getbeat league draft is officially scheduled for 8:30 PM EST on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
For those who participated, thank you for voicing your opinions and sharing your feedback by-way of the 2023-2024 Exit Survey. Based on the survey results the following changes will be instituted for the 2024-2025 league year.
- There will be no waivers. This means players not subject to the league’s waiver rules remain free agents throughout the week. Players must be added to a roster by 11:59 PM, PT Sunday to be eligible for the current game week. This is Yahoo’s rule, not mine
- The league will convert to a decimal based scoring system. There are only winners and losers in this league, there are no equals
- In spite of Bidenomics, league dues will hold steady at $125 per team, but payouts will change slightly. The owner with the most points at the end of the regular season will now be rewarded, with the goal being to incentivize teams to compete week-in and week-out. This has been a common suggestion in the past couple of Exit Surveys and we are going to take it for a spin this upcoming league year
- First place wins $1,000
- Second place wins $500
- Third place wins $250
- Most regular season points wins $250

The league is now active and dues can be processed at your convenience. Dues must be received by August 23rd. Don’t make me chase you, please! Also, props to Los who squared away his dues before I even had a chance to send out this press release. Well done, sir. Thank you!
Please let me know if you plan to take advantage of the keeper option, and if so, the player name must submitted to me by August 27th. To be eligible as a keeper, players must have ended the 2023-2024 season on your roster. You can find your final state roster using this link (https://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/2023/f1/15232/starters). If your keeper intent and player name is not received by 11:59 PM on August 27th, it will be presumed you will not be taking advantage of the keeper option. There will be no exceptions and no further reminders!!
